I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST(4G63) and I’m having a starting problem. The only way I can get the car to start is by rolling it to start. The ignition switch clicks, I replaced the starter thinking that was the problem and got nothing, the battery volts read about 13.2 according to the hks turbo timer, once I roll it to start it works great and stays on. But can’t get it to start. Any ideas anyone?

Well thank you guys for everything, finally had a real chance to pull the starter and look at the problem and it was a bad starter the previous owner picked up from pep boys. Went and got a new one from autozone and she fired right up. Now to fix the rest of the mess from the previous owner.

Thank you all and happy holidays

Glad to hear you fixed it, we try to help out where we can but some times the best way to find and answer is literally to Google the question

So for future reference, I have no idea what the clutch switch looks like or how to describe it. I would go to Google and type
"2g clutch switch site:dsmtuners.com"

I would then click show results as images and find one that looked right

The other option is to buy a factory manual.

We can always respond immediately so searching first is the best way to find an immediate answer
