Very interesting. Do you plan to wrap/paint the car and fix those front headlights gaps?

Would take some work to fix those headlights gaps I say keep the front stock and keep those rear tail lights if you like the look. Interesting I must say. I’ve seen an eclipse with Supra tail lights as well

l plan on painting the car myself over the winter. I had gotten the car pretty much like this besides the front bumper and it had a bad paint job so I sanded it down already. I’m not a fan of the front end but would have to buy new headlights and probably a hood to convert back to normal cost me probably 500 low end, the whole car had a kit at some point but the front bumper got smashed and here we are. I’m currently battling a electric issue first though as maintenance comes before anything else my blinkers and cluster lights are not working but my hazards do work

I’d start with the easiest, check your fuses under the hood and under dash.

Possibly bad connection or bad wiring due to those custom tail lights.

I had got the tail lights fixed, and the car primed up right before winter it’s just a patch job for now as I plan on really going at it in the spring, I also got some new tires for it but I’ll have to get some spacers still to fill out the widebody some more.

I replaced the sway bar links and outer tie rods and did a brake pad job, I got rotors as well but didn’t think i absolutely needed them and my calipers are turning junk so I’m waiting to just do a full brake job.

I changed out the spark plugs and wires and ignition coil, I live in Wisconsin and when it gets under 10 it sounded a little rough when I started it up

My blower motor randomly kicked out on me today, I just installed it a few months ago, the connectors appear to have melted together I will update with a pic tomorrow

My goal with the car is to not want to drive it next winter, I planned on not driving it this winter but then the radiator went on my other vehicle and it’s been in the shop since thanksgiving

i got my other car back finally, now just waiting about 2-3 months for it to warm back up so i can get to patching up more of the body work and getting ready to be reprimed then painted. Im thinking of disassembling my exhaust and redoing it. When i had did it i ran into some issues so i just left it with about a 4ft straight pipe but its to loud in the cab even after ive added some sound deadening.

Stereo installed, new rims, car primed some other misc stuff touched up on, come spring going to start in body work and another coat of primer then it’ll be time to paint, in the mean time I hope to get wheel spacers and a rear seat as I don’t need harnesses in a 420a and like to cruise with my dogs and just don’t want them messing up that wiring to the fuel pump

Well my engine has developed some sort of issue my buddy said crank walk, going to pull the vavle cover today and check it out there wasn’t any metal in my oil pan at all this will definitely set back my plans on getting the body fixed up and painted

What evidence does he have to prove that it is crankwalk? Not that it doesn't happen with the 420A, but it is far less common than the 4g63. You may have piston slap, or a combination of issues. Nothing is for sure without evidence, but I'd love to see it.

It was something with my starter, must have gotten stuck open at some point causing the whine I was hearing, it eventually started to just make a noise on start up I replaced it and it fixed my issue, the old starter has something loose in it

For sure when my buddy said that I was really sceptical I was like I know the 4g63s have it but never heard it being a issue for the 420a, it was making a nasty noise though with the starter stuck engaged so i understand where he was coming from it was like the noise of death

I just did a spare tire delete so I can run two exhaust tips to the spots in the body kit and actually make it look clean underneath to, thinking of getting a new front bumper as I’m not a huge fan of the one I got, and then body work from there along with painting the car, still debating on if I’m going to want to keep the car after that or upgrade to a higher trim eclipse
