can a 1g 4g63 fit into an evo 8? I see searches of evo 8 motors going into dsm but not the other way around. I just have someone that wants my motor but he has an evo. Has anyone done this and do you need to weld new mounting brackets on or will it just not work at all.

Not even worth it, in the long run you would have twice the money invested or more then just putting another engine back in that it was designed for.

The engines are backwards from eachother..So like stated before it would be cheaper just to get another evo 8 engine, then it would be to for the dsm 4g63 into it..

93 is a 7-bolt unless it's been swapped.

And if this idiot is convinced he can do it, then let him buy it off you. At least you'll make a few bucks. Just tell him it won't work that way when it doesn't he can't come back at you about it.

As stated a 93 is a 7 bolt, and absolutely none of this will bolt up. It's not a matter of motor mounts, literally everything is different or opposite, hence why this swap is never done one way or the other. It would be as difficult to put an LS1 into his evo as it is to put a DSM motor.
