15 psi chocke

So i have an all stock engine except for an uncirculated hks bov. I was running 11 psi, lowest setting on my manual boost controller, and i upped it 3 notches, and it ran 15-16 psi but chocked the engine. what do i need to do to make it SAFELY run 15 psi, better fuel injectors?

Both the t-25 and the 14b are fine on stock injectors at 15psi.

Most likely you are having a boost leak problem. However you should never turn up the boost with out a logger and a wideband. The logged will show if you are knocking, which if your engine is not healthy is possible.

Maybe try recirculating that bov valve too on a stock set up the bov should be recirculated.

Recirculate the BOV first off. Then do a boost leak test. Your car with stock 450cc injectors should run just right on 15psi on the stock turbo.
But like stated before, you really should have some way of monitoring your car when turning up the boost. ie Wideband or Logger

Do a boost leak test. Is your car 5 speed or auto. The auto has smaller injectors than a 5 speed.

I love the never ending answer to any issue concerning these cars. BLT!!! Awddarrell is spot on. Without a maft and gm maf, or speed density, the bov needs recirculated. You start on stock boost uncirculated, it MAY run fine, but as the boost goes up, the worse that 'choking' gets when you shift.

Basically it monitors how lean/rich your car is running.

Your stock narrowband gauge measures 0-1 and the wideband measures 0-5. It tells you if your lean and rich. In other words, to much air or fuel. You'll want your car to idle around 14.7.
