yea i ran a tire pressure of like 20 psi last time at the track i sure wish they had a strip were you could race from a role cause its quick from a 2nd gear role..my tires are a lil dry rotted so that could be problems to??

wow doesnt sound like i need much to run better than most of these riced out hondas that think they can beat me with just vtec LOL..well u ran that on a gsx my car is a FWD laser so i probly would need a lil more lik maybe som DR or somethin???how do i fix my 60 time??my launch was nearly perfect

I used to own a 93 civic dx with an ex sohc swap and it only ran a best of 15.3@91 even though it had quite a few mods.
My best friend went out and got a gsx and with just few mods was running 13's. That's what made me get a dsm, go fast for very little money and mods.

Yes I had a gsx but I also had problems. I didn't know how to launch it and took a lot of practice to get it right. The first time at the track I was running 1.9-2.1 60' times which is pretty bad for an awd dsm. By comparison a good 60' time is in the 1.7 or lower range.

If you have street tires don't go through the water box an don't do a long burnout. Just spin them a bit to clean whatever crap is on them and line up.
As far as pressure goes you can lower it from what you run on the street but not too much. I would run it somewhere in the mid 20's psi.

And remember....practice...practice....and more practice. You'll get better at it.

I've had two Laser RS FWD cars and they can definitely run 13's with not a whole lot done.

I never did, but, came close:

I ran [email protected] with a 2.37 60' time. The car had MAF mods, K&N, MBC@17 psi and a hollow cat, that's it. Blowing through stock exhaust from turbo to tailpipes. The car made 210 WHP and 214 TQ. Some drag radials and better launches could have netted 13's. So, your ride can go quicker and the 2.5 60' I don't think is your whole problem.

the first weekend i had my 91 fwd laser i just took it to the track for some because i had never dragged before and i ran my crap time but that's with the timing off and hella boost leaks. Not to mention the car had sat for over 5 years haha. Right now though with the mods i'm throwing on (injectors, fmic, 272's, maf/maf-t, fuel pump, manifold/o2 housing, intake pipe) I'm looking to run somewhere in the low 13's but we'll see how it goes, with a good tune things may go my way.
