14b turbo seal question.

I am having an exhaust leak around and under the manifold. I replaced the manifold gasket and where it meets the o2 housing. I took apart the turbo from the o2 housing at one point and never replaced any seals. So I am mostly just wondering is there a seal at the big band that connects the turbo to the o2 housing? And can exhaust leak from this area?

Yes, it can leak from the vband. Did you tighten the manifold to turbo exhaust bolts? Do you have a large crack in the turbo exhaust housing?

Yea i tightened it all up, but it didn't smoke today. It was new gaskets? any reason for the gasket to smoke?

You mean the turbo's center housing to the turbine housing. No, there is not a gasket....no v-band connections have gaskets to my knowledge. The tighter it is, the better it seals.
