New profile lost access to my old one..... I've searched for days. My question is what kind of power can I make with the stock 14b on pump gas no e85? I'm wanting to just have a decent streetable car as I'm buying another motor and a shell to make big power with... I know I'm gonna need bigger injectors, so I'm gonna drop in 560s as the car already has a 2g maf and big fmic and act 2600 clutch.... Other than that the car is stock 6-4 combo I'm looking to hopefully get at most 300 whp but I fear pump gas 93oct. Will limit me... Also I will be tuning with just a safc.... I've heard people talking about the 1g n/t fpr will that help me out also? like I said I've searched days and just can't find an answer I'm looking for.... And I can't stress enough about unwanted comments As I stated above that I will only be using this car as a daily so I want no more than 300awhp I don't wish to go bigger with this car... So no need for anybody to say just upgrade this or that so I have more in the future... This will only be a daily while I work on another project.... Thank you guys in advance............ Ps if this has already been covers can you please just point me in the direction of the post...

I'm running a 14b In my gvr4 on 92 pump at 20psi. I love it bro super fun for DD and autox. You need a fuel pump like walbro 190, 255 or evo 8/9 pump. If the 190 rewire it and you don't need a afpr. If the 255 it's recommended to get a afpr. If you really wanna push the 14b I would get alittle bigger injectors like 750-850. And in my opinion it's not the pump gas that will limit you it's the safc. If your just planning to run 14-17psi the 560's would probably be ok. I'm estimating 280-300hp with my setup thru ecmlink. And it's very consistent with the readings. My setup is built towards running the fp 68hta so it's amazing with the 14b. Which is why I havnt switched yet to much fun :). You will also benefit greatly from a fmic like vrsf, punishment Racing or ets if your wallets big haha. So basically if you wanna run 20-22psi. The short list is injectors 560-850, rewired walbro 190/255, afpr would help, a way to tune a safc will work but somthing with more capabilities would be better like ecmlink, burned chip, or a flashed black box depending on the car you have which we don't know (fill out the profile for you car). If you want to crank up boost you need a mbc or if using ecmlink definetly use boost by gear. A good fmic and piping kit with 1g bov or better depending on your flange and wants. You also want to get a good boost gauge and wideband to monitor boost and a/f ratio. These will help you tune and are pretty important. Other than that having the cars maintenance up to par is almost more important than anything else. Check out my profile and also the 14b race thread for all the info you could need bro. Have fun! ;) When I first got my gvr4 I swapped in 550's, walbro 255, fuel lab afpr a vibrant fmic setup with custom piping, 1g bov and boost at 17psi with a diy mdc and 3" open downpipe and pretty sure some 100oct mixed with alittle 92. I was able to run 13.7@101. And that was with no tune haha. Not to shabby for used parts and not to many mods. And this was after the car had sat abandon for 8-9 years haha. Once I get my 4bolt rear I'll hit the track again I want 11.99 before I take this 14b off haha.

The one thing I would do is upgrade the wiring to the fuel pump with the rewire. And no, you won't make it to 300whp unless it's a very generous dyno. I would estimate anywhere from 220-240whp. The 560s and the n/t regulator will be good, but not sure if the stock fuel pump can keep up. So you might need to do at least an Evo 8/9 fuel pump or a walbro 190lph pump.

My previous fwd was running a 14b with 7cm housing, 3" exhaust, Evo MAF, stock 450s with 255 pump and n/t regulator, Evo 3 manifold. At 22psi through the stock smic and piping on C16 it made 278whp/292wtq on a Mustang Dyno. So you may have cooler air coming in, however, you won't have the octane and you will probably have a little pressure drop through the intercooler. That's why my guess is 220-240.

@Dsmkauai...I would like to see the real numbers on the dyno compared to that estimate. The highest I have seen on this dyno was 324whp on a maxed out setup that had the stock turbo drag record at that time. That was also on C16.

Awesome man thanks and sorry I kinda just made the profile and just posted... Its a 1g awd talon I was gonna get the wideband also I just forgot to state that.. Probably the best answer I have seen by far tho much appreciated...

If we had a dyno here I'd gladly show you haha. Once I buy one for my shop it's on. And I've seen the 14b put out 320 on other threads. It's all on the tune and setup. How did you pull 22psi on 450's and no way to tune? That doesn't seem possible to me. Had to have 100% duty cycle. And unless your tuning for the c16 it can actually hurt more than help. From the turbo man himself! ;) You should have seen my gst's small 16g setup I was pushing 36-37lb/min and probably 330-340hp.

The car was tuned with link for my setup. With the non turbo pressure regulator, it makes those 450s run like 550s...or maybe even 600s, but you have to have the pump and rewire to keep up, obviously.

And I agree with Justin about the airflow and power capability of the 14b. I know people who have logged 34lb on pretty much a perfect setup. However, you aren't going to max out a hairdryer turbo that is pushing a ton of heat on 93 octane. The fuel can't handle the heat and the timing to do it. To the OP, who only has a way to adjust fuel, he will definitely leave more power on the table. On the Mustang Dyno's I am used to, I would still expect the numbers I mentioned with minimal mods. Throw it on a dynojet or similar and it might go 250-260whp...MIGHT. You might be a bit higher with a few more well planned parts. I still don't see you breaking 300whp on 92 octane. That said, 250-260whp on a 14b and 92 octane is some dang good power and will be a fun car to daily.

Ya I agree maxing on 92-93 won't happen. You may be able to run higher boost but not timing. I always use 100oct for the drags to get the timing and power. I'll be using that and meth to max my 14b or possibly 92 and race gas which with one can and 5 gallons of 92 makes around 106 oct and meth ;). My 16g was always ran on 100 at the track to make the power. Man was that a fun setup even on the street.

Reading all this is making me want to max out my 14b before I swap on the EVOIII 16G I bought off Justin last year. My car is completely stock so I need to put on all the supporting mods anyway...

All of this is what I needed to hear!! awesome guys.... Like I said b4 all I want is something fun on the street with a little power while I get my other build going thanks for the info....

My tear down on my car starts in a couple weeks. Stock 90 FWD laser...14b drag car!! This won't be my first time doing this. The last one I had with the power mentioned above was on a 325k mile stock motor, about 300lb of weight reduction and slicks. It went back to back to back 12.0x with shifting problems going into 3rd gear. Can't wait to get home and get back at it again...with tons of weight reduction, higher compression motor (eventually) and some good supporting mods!!

Yes the 14b is very good for some cheap street fun!!
