^^ are you sure you know what your talking about LOL?!?!? Sure you can take them to 8k go as high as you want to LOL. If you've had enough seat time you would know and feel the cams power band. There's nothing to gain by taking things to 8k on a stock head and setup. The more change you make to the head, cams, springs the more you can push it. Even with my bc272's I didn't go to 8k I would shift around 7300-7500. All I'm saying is its better for your e.t. And mph to stay in the power band instead of trying to push the rpm's past there efficiency range. But do whatever you want its your valves that are at risk of damage not mine! Lol

I have no idea who to you are talking to about setups. If you are talking about me, my setups way beyond yours and if you're talking about the OP you would have seen my comment to him about a lower shift point would help his times.

Look up what the stock springs will hold up. Maybe you'll learn something instead of assuming it'll "damage" something.

^^ Whatever guy you have no clue what either of my 3 cars has or is running. So to assume anything you have is beyond mine is just foolish and ignorant! I don't see any of your mods or see anything you've done in your car bro, nor can anyone else! I know what the stock springs will hold and isn't even what I'm talking about guy. I also know where and how you can damage things if not carful. And it's the power band of the cams and oem setup I'm talking about. Why would you rev to 8k when the oem cams power band stops more around 6500-6700, doesn't make any sense guy!! And why would I need to look up what the stock springs will hold? I already know it isn't much and is why it's the first things to upgrade in the head along with some cams!

I'm sorry, I don't feel the need to put my mod list to show the adequacy of my skill and knowledge. I am careful in what I say when giving out advice.

Maybe be you should reread my response that say what stock springs will go to even with a mild cam like hks 272s. After all it's the ramp rates/ lift along with seat pressure that determined a springs ability to deter valve float. If it was something as aggressive as kelford/gsc I would not be saying the same thing.

So am I also to "assume" your 12 sec time in you Sig is your fastest of your three cars?

Anyways, I'll stop here so I don't ruin the OP's thread. Pm me if you want to keep going.

Easy fellas I run it to 8k cause shifting into 4th is deff. Slower for me...running e85 isnt a option I use 104 sunoco ll try some lower shifts and see if it helps

so far its faster than far north racing and all the fp guys but lorens magical 11.9 run in a built gsx

fellas I dont have stock springs for the 100 time..haha

Better get at it before my gvr4 catches up to you hahaha!! ;)

Bro your gonna have to go out n build the track yourself just to get a run in...bwhahaha

^^ ya I know bro its sux not being able to race for almost 2 1/2 years now and having my cars just sit! :( well besides me going for back road cruises and such LOL. Please do, just because I'm sick to death of hearing you mad dog everyone that has a different opinion than yours, and hearing you talk like you have some single digit magic setup, like you're some DSM God on par with Shep and Rau. Put up, or please shut up. Let your cars do the talking.

OP, nice work. Really impressive when you factor in the shifting problems and launching issues. Car is a sleeper for sure. You could win some nice money if you were local to me...;)

^^ hmm don't remember talking to you!! Why don't you shut your mouth and get a life!! I have not once mad dogged anyone or talk like I know everything or act like I have the fastest car on here LOL. What is your problem besides being a jealous jerk!! And hmmm last time I checked that's exactly what I've been doing with my cars you idiot!! Hmm ran my gvr4 twice and already hit mid 13's with is basically stock and stock they run mid 15's!! Hmm can cut better 60' than most awd guys in my gst and ran low 12's on a small 16g and pretty simple setup!! Why don't you just shut up how bout that!! Your the one making up all this crap not me! Fool go smoke some more crack guy!!

Almost every thread I look at that you have posted in there is f***ing arguing. Lighten up, make sure your advice is solid and quit arguing with everyone.

Pipnorcali how are you liking the 17" slicks? I'm in the market for slicks right now but it seems everyone says to stay away from 17s and run at the most 15s for the sidewall. What are your thoughts?

^^ ya im the one arguing LOL! dude mind your own business and get a life!! What is wrong with you people! I'm not on here to argue or pick fights, so stop starting crap with me already!! What the hell!! TROLLS!!!

17" are doing ok but if I where to do it again I would get 16" or 15 for sure 4200 is about thr max I can launch at with the 17's if I could get a 1.7 like jon and soild shifts I could get a low 12.

I just had 2 sets of lightweight wheels already and my brakes are 13.1" so I didnt have much choice.

not much sidewall here

I see. Yeah that's what I was thinking. I wanna go to the track bad but I know it's pointless until I get some good tires.

Ya it helps with the 16" qtp's having the extra sidewalk to launch alittle harder. I launch at 5250 with a good burn out and the car hooks amazingly! Can't wait to launch it now with my new setup and more power LOL! ^^^ what tire pressure do you set your 17" at?
