2G ‘95 TSI No Spark

Ok guys been going through a rough spell with my car, long story short I'm fighting a no spark issue. No DTCs on ECU. It runs off of pcmlink.

Previous symptoms before complete spark failure was backfiring and jerking under boost or trying to boost.

When driving like a grandma ran fine but parked it one night tried to rev it outta its problem and now no spark.

These cars are a bit old and lots of times won't throw a DTC for an issue even if it's obvious. Giving the benefit I'll assume that you've checked the coils, ohm'd them out, and ensured that they're good. And that also wires and such are fine.

It's been several years but if I recall 2GA's still had a non-adjustable cam position sensor along with a crank position sensor. Take a look at those. Make sure the wiring looks fine. It can sound like a tall order to start figuring out how to check those or where they're located but it's sincerely not too hard. Without signal from those there's a possibility you won't get any signal for the coils to fire. There's only a handful of things that can result in a no-spark situation and from memory I'd say the worst case would be an ECU situation, but I'd like to think it's pretty rare to come across that.

Do you mean ECMLink? Do you know how to get and post a log?

Have you checked the normal things, compression, fuel, spark?

Do you have any of the service manuals?
