Hello tuners I bring you my problem of the 420a curse, no spark to the coil pack. :hmm:
I have replaced the starter, battery, ECU and ASD relay. The car was old and needed those parts anyway, but as I was coming home from work my dash begin to flicker and then the car died. :banghead: Luckily I was in front of my house. I have tested all ignition wires but to no avail still no power to the coil [new plugs, wires, and coil].
Anyone had this problem and solved it? Getting rid of my DSM is not an option :hellyeah:

i got no spark when my timing was off, could always try retiming just to rule that out....also make sure no wires got melted on the egr pipe

Make sure the ECU is getting power and a signal from the crankshaft angle sensor.

And PLEASE use punctuation. There's a difference between "starter battery" and "starter, battery."

ok guys ive checked my timing to the ''T" i have compression and wires near egr are not burned. anybody know if this could be an activated automatic shut down:confused:
as i remember the asd relay controls most of your ignition someone correct me if im wrong failure is apart of progress:thumb:

Do you have a multimeter? You're going to want to get one. (cheap ones are OK for most things you'll be doing on a car) It'll make your life (and ours, if we're to help you) so much easier. If you don't know how to use one, it's worth taking the time to learn.

headed to the store.......

I would check the crank and cam position sensors

i have replaced them both with brand new ones i also have tested all or most wires concerning the ignition but i think there maybe a possibility that my altenator is shorted out can anyone justify that this is why i have no spark?

not to bump my thread moderators but today i put the ecu in out of my other eclipse in and i got constant power to the coil but no start my lights dim out as i turn the ignition is this a sign of a bad battery or or a short in the wiring btw the other two wires get the pulse from the ecu while turning the ignition

thanks man i need to know if my fuel pump could be the culprit because it doesn't engage when i turn the ignition

problem resolved!
my neutral safety switch went out and my starter relay went bad

thanks guys:hellyeah:
