The coilovers will do that for sure, I am just saying you will have a very stiff ride. That is the only drawback. I grabbed some street D2 coilovers for my Galant some years ago and they drove really nicely on the street, but that beast made 800whp on full tilt and those rear springs would not handle it at all. So I bought a pair of some 650lb/inch springs and slapped them on some AGXs and it made the biggest difference on that car while making pulls. Good thing it was like 10 minutes to swap them in and out.

You are a wealth of information and I greatly appreciate it. It will be a month b4 I get these things on because the shop is 110*. I will set them soft to start but the springs are adjustable. I am leaving them alone for now. Is that a good start, get a "FEEL" for them?

I have BC coilovers on my car and they have the same spring rates (pretty sure Megans are just white-labelled BCs). I find them to be too stiff for a street driven car. When researching new spring rates I saw somewhere that 8k front and rear seems to be a sweet spot for these cars. I'm going to order some of those in the near future.

Well I certainly appreciate any and all input. I may make a thread dedicated to it so I don't clutter up this one. Thanks guys 🙏

I seem to remember a few old threads on 1G spring rates back in the day. Maybe Chris remembers the "best" ones.

Do those have both individual shock compression and rebound rate adjustments or the single that does both.
I'm not aware of springs that are rate adjustable. Ride height and preload but not rate so I don't know how one sets a spring softer, dampeners sure but springs?

How are the roads in Kansas? :p
The roads it travels are pavement only since I run drag radials on her all the time now. No potholes for her either. No Autocross just straight line WOT. Lucky me, my son works at a shop to align the car after they are installed.

Went on, yet again, another Marketplace meet up in search of a 14B non cracked turbine housing.... even asked, "is the wastegate cracked?" "No" said the seller... It was cracked. Does anyone fix these things?

Going for 100% stock setup? or time to upgrade? Big16g is a good improvement.

Nah. We just ran them until they leaked so bad you had to replace it. If you find a 14b 6cm housing that isn't cracked it would be a miracle.

Got my arp main studs, new acl race main bearings, and crank installed. Plastigaged to make sure oil clearances were within spec on all journals and they were. 💪 tomorrow im cleaning pistons to install bearings and check clearances on those and ring gaps.

To be honest, you've already beaten the odds by being finding 14b turbine housings local to you. Finding an un-cracked one 32 years after the last 1g was made is like winning the lottery.. Is there a reason why you don't want a 7cm housing?

Trying to stay 100%, but that’s kinda looking impossible. I don’t want to have to get into tuning, bigger injectors etc. is the a simple bolt on replacement?
If you are running a stock fuel setup, a slightly bigger turbo won’t be a problem. The overall flow my be different, (spool time) but if you keep stock boost control and a stock waste gate spring, the fuel trims should take care of the drivability.

You can just get a 7cm housing instead of replacing the turbo and getting into all of that.

Just get an ebay 16g. They're like 150. It'll come with the 7cm housing and you'll get a new wastegate.( and spare turbo) The housing bolts right up easily and nothing changes but a few rpms. Instead of boosting around 2k, it'll be like 2.5. You don't have to do anything to your setup but swap the housing & be done with it.

Cupholder mods, big screen , 3 guage vent. If that isn't enough playing with lcd guages in the cluster and the center vent . Dsm style with some modern twist. I just started these designing these gauges . 2 4inch guages (speedo and tach). 1 1.28 guage (fuel and idiot lights) top center between the speedo and tach. 5 2.1 guages, 2 in the cluster and three in the center vent. The 2.1 will mimic the oem guages with more visuals like number readout to each side. Work in progress.

Time to eat a little humble pie. Primed oil pump with a drill.....haven't installed turbo yet. At least I had towels handy.
30 plus years you'd think I'd remember.
My first thought was I had missed a galley plug.
