Was curious if anyone has run or relocated the throttle cable (non cruise) where it doesn’t bolt to the back of the manifold. I have a shaved EVO3 manifold but wanted to go back to cable But have no where to bolt it to?

The throttle mount was shaved off??? You'll have to get creative and make your own mount or weld one back on.

It was a dbw Bosch unit or so it looks like in the picture. You’d have to weld another bracket to it but you have a different flange anyways so I’d probably just sell those as a whole setup and hopefully find another manifold.

You can drill and tap the manifold itself as long as the cable can move freely. Just use thread sealer for the bolts and you'll be fine. That's the way I ran the cable on my FRH manifold.

I have also seen where you can cut the cable to whatever length you need. Then take a block of wood and drill a big hole (which will be the new metal ball end) and a small hole sideways to feed the cable into the big hole. Then unravel the end that is poking through the drilled hole and cut bunch of solder to stick down in there. Get a blow torch and heat it until it all melts together into a ball. VIOLA, custom short throttle cable.
