If I ain't there, I am literally dead or dying. Year # 27 in a row.

Havent missed a year since 2012 ill be there . see you there man, and everyone else anything can get for swag to show off chris between bobby, myself and morrison fabrications. Decals would be sweet or hats, or shirts to represent.

Currently the plan is to make the trip and compete in Q32, provided the car is still in working order and gas isn't over $5/gal.

Sweet good to see you again otz been a while. Gas well well see.

I can make one for anyone who wants one, with a QR code that points to your Vehicle Profile/Build Thread here on the site. You can print a couple copies and put them in a sign holder next to your car. For those who don't have a printer, PM me, I'll see if I can get them printed for you.

I saw another thread with some pictures in it yesterday. The event ended short and the pot split due to weather on Sunday.

I was wondering about that. We were all ready to hit the road Sunday morning and at last minute I decided not to after looking at the weather radar map. Sucks but I'm selfishly relieved now about my decision.

That sucks. Any news as far as the winners and highlights from the event? I haven’t been online much this weekend due to the wedding we hosted. We still have a house full of family visiting. I don’t feel like digging on social media.

We really had great, low-humidity weather Thurs/Friday/Saturday.

They were looking to get the program started an hour early on Sunday with the threat of rain.
Well, Sunday started out with some misting/rain, they got the track cleaned up and were able to run a couple rounds in the early afternoon.
I ended up staying, seeing 3rd round as the sun was setting. I think we got through 5 pairs of cars before the first cleanup.
They eventually called it at 9:00pm; I'm only guessing because of track curfew/noise.

And it was Sunday at 9:00pm after all; the crew was working all day (weekend!) tirelessly to bring us the show.

The races were great! We had several upsets and instances where drivers recovered from the impossible to secure their win reeling in the back half.

The pits were very packed throughout the day Sunday with racers ready to be called up and willing to wait it out.
It actually was a great time to go hang out, get some pics, and meet new friends.

Our friend Tim (TMZ) wasn't feeling the best and while he rested; I got to hang out with his son Carter who I believe is 13 and go check out the pits and have a very extended technical discussion about our shared love of hobby-grade RC cars.
Very glad I talked to that young man; you can tell he hangs out with his dad a lot.

I ran into 92AWDHX40 on his way out and got to check out his car which was very cool; I missed meeting ItsTwan309! (Sorry dude!!)

Looking forward to Shootout 2027.

Hey paul it was was good to meet you to rare to meet a dsmtuner.

Sunday it basically drizzled on and off just making it wet and impossible to get racing in. About 1/2 of the racing that did take place were bys. At 9pm they called it due to the dew point getting high accumulating moisture on the track surface. They just split the pot between the number of racers still alive in each class. It just was what it was, mother nature was the victor on Sunday.

I did talk with Ferrara about getting the event started earlier on Sunday and just getting more racing done on Sat. There is just way too many classes now and trying to shoe horn it all in on one day is just foolish at this point. He heard me and said that it was a good idea and would see about getting going earlier going forward. I mean every year by the time it is actually over there is only 200 people there which is really really lame.
