The gas hose should have the threaded fitting on both ends.

My first welds on aluminium on the new miller at about 90 amp no material or filler
Cleaning or prep was done, no wire brush either, so considering that i think these look pretty decent using the new 2% ceriated tungsten which was
Prepped. :)

With that tungsten i don't need to switch between red or green, cause the
Ceriated does both aluminum and steels.

You don't use green on an inverter machine anyway.

I love looking at these threads because i'm a x-ray tech. And all I do all day long is x-ray and inspect welds.

Some nice welding in here and some welding i would send back for a cut out or repair.

Not my best, and old school arc welder, but it gets me by.

Exactly. Also the thoriated (red) works just fine on aluminum.

Hope you are not cleaning/prepping with chlorinated brake cleaner prior to welding bro. Not safe.

Those are some clean weld on a VC. Damn good job.

+1 nicely done!:hellyeah:

Thanks guys, I did this the other day about 20 min before work so I was really rushing it haha. I have only been welding for a couple months now and let me tell you, the difference between the syncrowave 250 at school and the brand new dynasty 350 with every option really gives you some confidence to try new things. For one is the pulse setting because that really helped me learn how to add filler with consistency and all the other options that are just so over whelming to even try to understand them all help. I honestly don't know if it would have came out this good on any other machine. :coy:

It will, it takes patience. GTAW has been around long before new inverter machines with all the bells and whistles were available. Structural and cosmetic welds are obtainable with an amperage-only machine.

miller power! made myself a welding bench :) the one flat weld that looks like it was a little hot was cause i went over it a second time with the torch to even everything out, the other welds which were on the top of the frame were rather good IMO :):rocks:

I'm not afraid of X-rays. Wouldn't be the first time.

Here is Something from over the weekend.
