Do your self a favor and buy bends. You can get 120 degree bends in much tighter radius than U bends. The time you spend cutting, prepping and welding plus the gas and filler you use to weld up pie cuts is not worth it.
I have done it both ways, pie cuts can work out ok but its just not worth the hassle. You must be logged in to view this image or video.

This has become my favorite thread in the forum.
When you post pictures of a weld, dont hesitate to give information like, what the material is, the cfh, filler rod used, amperage, etc. etc.
Would help out the newbie tig welders like myself get a better understanding! Thanks!

Thought I had more pics, but I guess not. Sorry.
Hey gamble you ever use the 220$ mr tig tig welder?
.Thats everlast... Not " mr tig"
Mr tig is the "weldin for dummies" booklet/dvd that comes with it
If you read the description you probably would have known.
Mr Tig is Weld | Welding - Weld.com and does youtube videos

So that being said, he is being paid by everlast to advertise for them.
Does the product work? Sure, possibly.
Is everlast a good company? Um, I have no idea. From what I have read the reviews are very mixed. Lots of people get bad machines and poor customer service until you post on an internet forum then they are quick to resolve the issue and have the thread deleted so nobody else sees anything bad about them.
I've never used an everlast product, but I know a few that have. I can tell you a few have stopped working shortly after the first few hours. Some show up working and some don't. It's a cheap china company.
If you are on a strict budget and want to learn to tig sure it's worth $274, then add in a bottle, consumables and such. Keep in mind this is scratch start, so you will not get a foot pedal and can't do aluminum and stainless is going to be really hard. But if you are like me and want to get your feet wet without dropping a ton of money, then I'd say try it. What do you have to lose. Honestly it's probably going to be the cheapest route to get started and the dual voltage is a nice option.
No problem guys.
Compression - look up my youtube channel (gamble1997) I just did a quickie video to show how to install a pyrex cup kit so you can see everything that comes with it. It's $62 shipped and well worth it.
im anxiously awaiting my STM manifold so i can get to hacking this dnp

Is a 9 style torch pretty much the smallest you can get? My local car fab shop guy's torch's are super tiny. but he can fit that little bastard into any kind of crevasse (sp?) Just makes me want to get one myself.
I called longevity and spoke to daniel about alternative tig torches for the 200sx, he is going to shoot me an email of a known working adapter to run a stardard type torch. So when i get that i can share with some of you, looks like gamble has got a few of us to purchase some of longevity welders, i sure as hell hope your getting some sort of commission
I found this video about why you get dull looking stainless weld, and tips on how to make it nice and colorful!

I believe i am just going to go ahead and order the jumbo gas lense. I've personally heard excellent things from it, and that video shows how much of an aesthetic difference it can make! , there is still the issue of skill, but that'll hopefully come with time.
