OK so I just finished putting in a new slave cylinder and bled the clutch and everytime I push In the clutch the tranny shifts away from the engine and when the engine is running it makes a metal on metal kind of sound and the rpm's drop like the car is going to die and besides the fact it won't even go into gear. :barf: I'm so pissed with this car I'm about ready to sell the damn thing! even though I love the boost it had when it was runnin strong. Does anyone know if there is anyway to make a brace to hold the tranny to the engine as a temporary solution??? anyones input on this subject would really help me out.

As far as holding the transmission to the engine, there are about 11 or so bolts that do that. Besides that, try adjusting your master cylinder push rod. It is right above and in front of your gas pedal. It is kind of a ***** to get to, but once you find it you'll know what to do. It requires an 11mm and 12mm open end wrench I believe. I had the same problem with it not going into gear after putting my tranny back in a couple months ago, and adjusting that solved the problem.

That has plagued my Talon for a year. Well you tranny should not be separating from the block. There are actually only 4 bolts that holds the tranny to the block. 2 on top, one right by the slave cylinder and one puny bolt in the back. Tighten all your bolts. For me, I found out that the bolt hole next to the slave cylinder was cracked so that bolt could not hold the tranny together to the block, especially since the slave is right there pushing against the tranny. The top 2 bolts held together but the puny bolt in the back snapped because of the pressure of the splitting. I'm taken my tranny off and on like 10 time already. It sucks.

From what I can see the one bolt that is up to right of the shift cables that holds the tranny to the block is stripped out and the one buy the slave cylinder seems to be alright but the other ones I'm not sure about but I'm gunna get under there and see if maybe there are some other bolts loose and then adjust the master cylinder. I'll post my results in a few hours.
