My 91 tsi has been mine for only about 3-4 weeks and i finally got it to the track. Mods in profile, minus the fuel pump. Stock pump, 15psi on the evo 3. Im pretty satisfied till next week when i have my pump in :thumb:

thats a nice time, but would have really been worth it if you killed that engine w/ 15+ counts of knock? Come on, honestly, Id rather run safe and almost kill my engine.

Actually i just looked at my logs corresponding to my times, and the last pass i made (#5) was the one that was real bad. The log from that run i had 4 tops. Ima go back this weekend sometime after i get my pump installed and crank it up to see what she'll do

work on the launch and work on that tune. I ran a 9.13 1/8th with a 2.18 60' with a 14b in my 90 fwd and its only mod was a cutout and 14psi.

Guess i shouldda mentioned thats on my stock dp and just a hollowed out cat. But yea, back when i had my 14b, fmic, exaust, and pump, i laid down a low 1.7 60ft every run and consistently blew my charge piping apart at the top of 3rd every run.

15 counts really isn't that bad. Obviously you don't want any knock but I really don't think he will kill a 4g63 with 15 counts.

Get that launch figured out man. I pulled a 2.215 last night in my FWD with wheelspin all of 1st and 2nd. Get that bad boy down into the 1.8-1.9 range and you'll watch that et drop as well :thumb:

Nice run. You and I ran almost identical times throughout the entire run, check out my slip numbers:

60' ... 2.266
330' ... 6.042
1/8 ... 9.076
MPH ... 82.28
1000' ... 11.696
1/4 ... 13.915
MPH ... 101.72

I'm fwd though. Don't look at my current mods though, when I ran that time I had the stock T25 turbo and less mods. But again, great run. Who could complain about a 14 year old 4-cylinder running in the 13's? :thumb:

use race gas next time :)

That will keep your knock down and keep you on a safe run, probably get a better time too. 15 counts is something like 4-5* timing retard = power loss

Agreed. I just wanted him to be aware of the possibilties. Think of how bad he would feel IF something were to go wrong. I like to tune for 7 counts or under
