1G Won't start, checked all the basics.

So i got my 93 talon for fun, it ran when i got it ran amazing. next day took about 10 seconds to start was hard to roll over but did. next day wouldnt start. got a new battery, akternator good. fuel presuure. no boost leak. spark. and when i try to start it now it barly studders and try to roll every about 5 seconds but never starts. cant figure it out please help!! i want to drive my car!

a cold start sensor. is a sensor that sends a signal to the ECU, it tells the ecu the tempo of the antifreeze.
then the ECU sends asignal to the injectors on how much gas to spay for an ez start up.
when it go's bad it has the injectors on an open cycle.
witch in turns floods the motor on start up.
why i asked if you smell heavy gas in the air.

there is 3 sensors you can see from the top, about 8 inches under the radiator cap. check the wires and make sure they are all connected and not loose inside the boot. or the sensor itself could be bad. I had to disect the boot and reconnect the wires, and while i was at it i just did all 3 sensors until i could make it to the junk yard and grab new connections. in my case my sensors were still good.
P.s. i know of some really good junkyards in the metro area that usually have some really good dsms. even seen a evo in there once. and no not pull n save

What's your status? I'm trying to help some folks to pay back for all the help I've been getting on this site.

I would not drain the fuel unless I had added fuel since it last ran good. My car sat for a year and ran perfect with the gas that was in there.

Could be bad compression, I once had a car wouldn't start unless it was warm out or warmed up. Or, if you turned it over enough times to warm the cylinder, and THEN spray starting fluid, it would start, and get warm enough to start on it's own (warmth helped make it have enough compression to run).

ECU inspection (only takes a few minutes, and much easier than draining gas).

Coolant temp sensor inspecion (get a datlogger it is only about $40-$60 and you can look at all the sensore readings and compare to normal, instead of pulling and testing/replacing every little thing, at least it would help narrow down what to test first maybe, this only works if your ECU is GOOD< so inspect it first of everything.)

Compression tester is cheap; only about $20.

Start with these and report back, please.

I had the same problem with my car. When you turn your key can you hear the fuel pump start up. There will be a little noise. It is not hard to hear. Mine turned out to be the fuel pump. But check the big three like everyone else is harping on. I also cranked my car with the same gas that had sat for 1 1/2 years. I just added some octane boost to make sure and it cranked right up after the fuel pump. If you turn your key and no noise its the fuel pump.

poor dude i hope he didnt give up. im here in aurora too and im willing to help. i have been having trouble with my car too and feel your pain. but i have had 4 dsm's and have gone thru a lot of things and never once took it to a shop. post back and give us a update

ha thanks for all the help guys but in the end this is what happend. it had a bent valveon the 1st piston so it was running, then it threw the timing cus the timing belt id way off timing and then the valve got bent in the 4th piston. so a little bit of a rebuild had to be done and its somthing i cant affordso i dould no longer keeo the dsm and had to get a daily for now, the wors part about it is before my 1g. i had a sick ass 2g the blew a 2 pistons im gettin another 2g here tho within 6 monthes tho cus i cant give it up completly

but i havnt gotten ris of it yet, so kneipperk where in aurora are u located? andwould u be down to show me some shit to fix it if i did??
