I have a 98 gst. I parked it changed the springs back to stock. now it wont start. check the starter, no power to solenoid. check the power to relay have 12.3, but no power to the black and yellow wire. I took off the cover to the relay and checked for power. the coil had power, but the coil was sucking in towards the 87 pin not the 87a pin which is the black and yellow wire. even with the new relay. I just cant figure it out any ideas.

On the M/T (not A/T) the starter relay is normally closed - even while cranking. It only opens (activates) to DISABLE the starter which is if the clutch pedal is not pushed or the theft alarm is activated. Being you've got pins 87 and 87a, you've got an aftermarket relay. The normally closed postion on this relay is pin 87a so it is wired correctly so long as pin 30 is the black-red. So you've either got a clutch pedal switch problem, theft alarm activated, ignition key not providing power to the black-red wires, or other wiring problem. [Note if you don't want the clutch pedal not pushed or the theft alarm functions, you don't even need the starter relay - just remove it and jumper the black-yellow to the black-red.]
