1G Wiring issue

Dakota here, hoping you guys can help me out. I just bought this car and the transmission is being weird. I opened up the side panel to check the tcm and ecu out and found this.... if anyone could explain what’s going on here that would be great and if any steps could be taken to fix this problem. I believe it was a shift kit but if so which one? Each bundle of wires are numbered 1 through 3 and each little bundle of 3 wires are labeled one as L and one as R assuming they mean left and right. No one? I pulled the TCU and it seems to have a bad 47uf capacitor that has leaked. So now I am really thinking this is some sort of shift kit to bypass the tcu, but I don't know for sure. If anyone could help that would be great. Also anyone near Illinois with a 1g FWD Turbo TCU I could buy, paypal ready for trusted users.

All i can give you is some links to ecu damage, service and repair info. I wouldn't know a shift kit if it was installled in my ass. I drove an eclipse with an automatic tranny once, it was so NOT fun. I have avoided any dsm with an AT since.

Thank you Dusty, I have attached a picture of the TCU it looks to me that someone at one point decided to try and replace the capacitor with a new one and didn’t do such a great job.
