Hi I did everything per this write up on this website: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/129261-how-wire-euro-jdm-taillights.html

Now, my brakes work as they should. My issue is with the turn signals. The amber lights pulse rapidly. Only the amber lights pulse so at least thats good, but I'd like to slow down the pulse to the stock tail light turn signal.

I was going to PM the person who did the write-up, but he hasn't been active for a while.

Any help would be awesome!!!

If it blinks EXTREMELY fast, this is probably where the issue is...

7. The chassis side of the cut gray/blue wire will be extended to the amber corner socket on the left side. In addition you will need to connect the 8-Ohm resistors to a chassis ground on one end and this wire on the other. So from this single wire it splits into two wires. One to the resistor and ground and the other to the socket connector on the amber arrow. To explain this a little easier, ground one end of the resistor, and connect the green wire from the amber corner as well as the gray/blue wire to the other end of the resistor.

Could I not use a ground on the bulb itself? Cause thats what I did. Perhaps that is the issue. The other two wires I have connected properly.

I would connect it to ground and not the taillight bulb ground. And just an FYI, I did this to a friends car and ended up having to depin and repin the turn signal bulb socket because it was lighting up the "low" side of the bulb, and wasn't very visible during the day. After I repinned it he had a brighter turn signal. This write up is also the same for someone doing an Eclipse to Talon swap on the rear as well, not just JDM/EDM lights!

Hmmm I just checked another website and it seems that the writeup I used didnt include this paragraph:

To prepare things you will need to move the pin in the arrowhead bulb connector from one side of the socket to the other. The center contact is ground and does not need to be moved. Take an awl and poke the contact out of the socket and also remove the rubber plug from the side you are moving it to. Put the rubber plug into the hole the contact came out of. This swap will mean that voltage will now activate the high wattage filament of the 1157 bulb. Now cut the wire you just moved about 3 to 4 inches away from the socket. You will be attaching a new wire to these "pig tails" later. Tape the rest of the wire you just cut (the chassis side) so it will not ground out on anything.

I will give it a shot tomorrow.

Thats exactly what I was refering too. :D

Hey so, I swapped the pins and the Ambers no longer worked. I guess my next question would be...would not having a third brake light also cause it to blink rapidly? :hmm:

Nope, did you get the resistor and wire it in parallell with the ground? Also do you have a dual filament bulb in the socket or no?

Hey tony, did you ever get this figured out? I installed my lights this weekend and everything works except my passenger side blinkers. Somehow my front one does not light up the blinker and my rear one flashes fast. When I turn the hazards on they flash normal just no front passenger side. Bulb is good. Also one thing I was unsure about is when I hit the brakes the amber corners light up as well as the middle 4 lights. Is this normal?
