My windshield wiper fuse keeps on blowing. I have replaced it many times and they will then work for a day and the fuse will blow again.
I am missing the cap to the wiper delay that you spin to make the wipers go faster and slower on the first setting. I think this may have something to do with it because it can spin all the way around and I don't know what is the correct position. I have messed around with this and the wipers worked for a few days and then the fuse blew again. Also where can I find this piece (junkyards around here are horrible and I can't find it on Ebay)
Usually when the wipers blow the radio shuts off for a second and then goes back on.
I have a 95 Talon TSI. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
My wipers were shorted out half way up the window so I had to try some more things while it was snowing (yay).
I blew 15 fuses before getting to work enough to get them down to the resting position. As soon as I put the fuse it and turned on the car it blew. So I started turning stuff off and turned the lights off when you open the door. This worked and now the wipers are working.
I don't know if this is a coincidence or not. So I may have a short from the dome lights to the wipers? The lights don't come on when I open the driver side door but they do when the passenger door opens so I think it may be a short with that.
