So heres the deal short and sweet, i cracked my bellhouse severly and i found a cheap 90 tsi awd tranny that i can buy. I drive a 90 gsx. Are the transmissions exactly the same?

Heres what Im thinking... Why did your bell housing split in the first place? We should figure that out before you just put a new tranny in. You dont want that to happen again.
I think it might have been installed wrong. Or maybe the pressure plate was aligned wrong?? If the last person to have it out used too many dowels and not enough bolts, do you think that could have caused it?
Was the car ever bottomed out??? Check youre under body for scrapes.
Maybe someone hit a curb? Check your rims for any flat spots.

Alright well i have one more afterthought, how difficult is it to put a 1991 gsx transmission into a 1990 gsx? I know that you have to get different shift linkage.. but how difficult is it to actually put it all-together?
