Wideband lc1?

If your flex section has even a small leak it will throw off readings.

Also the farther downstream the sensor is the more lag the reading will have.

I moved my WB sensor to the O2 Housing after originally having in the Rear O2 location.

A properly maintained and designed exhaust? You can put it on the tail pipe. If you're leaking at the flex section, you need to get it fixed anyway. If its not leaking there or anywhere else before it, then you can trust the results and tune the motor using it.

If you're using it as a norrow-band simulator then you'll want it closer so that the response time is correct. If you're keeping your narrowband and just using this separately then distance doesn't really matter. As long as you're sure that there are NO leaks and it's before the cat then it should be fine.

Let me be a little more specific and then you can do with the information what you will.

The wideband MUST be upstream of any possible leaks or they will draw air into the exhaust stream and the sensor will read leaner than the actual value. This is true regardless of it's intended use. So, if you're not confident that you're getting a good seal in your exhaust then either pick a spot farther up stream or else have the exhaust repaired. There is also a third option which is to just install it and then compare the reading to what your narrowband is telling you. If they're in agreement then you're probably good to go.

As for the intended use, you can either run it as just a wide-band and keep your narrowband for it's own functionality...or you can eliminate the narrowband and use the simulation option to mimic the narrowband. This can be done either in the LC1 software configuration or in ECMLink (or both). If you do go the simulation route then you should probably put it in the stock position as this will allow the response time to be appropriate for the ECU. You can also adjust certain values in ECMLink to account for this but that is, IMHO, not the preferred method. Otherwise location is basically irrelevant.

you should keep the stock o2 where it is for your computer, and then put the wideband right before the flex section dont hook it up to the comp or anything just hook it up to the gauge and use as a reference

OP, it's your call on what you want to do honestly. If you want to use NBS then use it otherwise leave the WB where it is.

NBS is a good function to use and it won't hurt the WB sensor being that close to the manifold at all by getting "too hot". It will free up a port in the ECU and it is one less sensor to worry about replacing. I plan on running my LC-1 in NBS and many other have used it too with great success.

IMO the only downside to it is the stock narrowband sensor will give more of a true reading to the ECU while the NBS will cycle what the NB would be giving as an output.

I would say that if you have ECMLink OR the abillty to run NBS then use it.

As stated ANY leaks pre sensor will throw off your readings just like any other o2 sensor and should be fixed asap.
