Why is Your DSM DOWN Thread

Hey just thought people could have somewhere to vent about their DSM problems. Just list why ur DSM is down.

Ill start...
Well i brought my 95 GST in July. It broke the next down. Blew a head gasket and me being dumb tried driving it further so the block was flooded and seized. We found peices of metal in the oil pan .
Now its finally getting fixed, got a remanufactured motor with everything new and some head work. Its so pretty but the thing is it has been sitting at my mechanics for almost 2 weeks and the car isnt even in the garage its sitting outside waiting to be fixed, he said he wil start tommarow hopefully he does so I can have it for the weekend.

so my down time was about 7-8 months

Parked for the winter Too nice and too low for the winter. Redoing the kit, need new rear tires, need to fix the sunroof, need to reseal the external wastegate, drain and refill up fluids and I'm ready to go... till next time. Havent had too many problems - worst was the alternator dying with no symptoms and no warning lights, just kind of happened in a matter of 10 seconds.

Lost a damn valve driving to work. tore up the #2 piston and the head chamber. Trying to get a good core to rebuild and looking for a used piston for a 1G!! Been down for like 2 months. Have had the car for 4 months...down 1/2 the time. is that about right what pisses me off is I wasn't even on it when the damn thing went. Whats worse is after less than 2000 after the rebuild anyone have a spare piston and head

Mine's running. Just needed a new timing belt and over $800 worth of work after I purchased it for $1600.

It it doesn't even have a 4g63. Only a 4g61

previous owner was a douche nozzel..car was beat to shit....its a miracle that i even made it home with the car...its been down since its been back here...broke 12 miles after i got it to the house...basically reinventing the wheel with it now...going through it inch by inch and eliminating/replacing/fixing all the ghetto jerry rig shit...

we have the technology, we can build it better...faster..stronger

well, i bought my talon in 03 for around 6K, about a month after i got it i found that i didnt just suck at shifting a five speed, my tranny was in fact broke. syncros were out in 1st 2nd, reverse and all the other usuall parts were broke. Cost $1200 soon after that we had a huge rain storm in which i drove through a "puddle" that was at least 2-3 ft deep. This required a new alternator and some other electrical stuff. Cost $300 About 7 months after that my clutch took a dump on me 350 miles into my 400 mile road trip. Cost $700 and now that the drivetrain is nice and dandy, my rack and pinion broke est. Cost $800
P.S. i am now driving a 91 ford tempo. the talon is sitting in timeout thinking about what its done

Anywho....My tranny took a dump back in Sept. of 04 and shes been sitting on 4 jackstands in my garage ever since, with the tranny next to her on the workbench . This is the second time its broke, and I actually got the balls to take it apart myself this time. I tore the shit out of the output gears (backing out of the damn driveway ). Dont think the dumbass hick I had fix it the first time for $500 (busted part of the 3/4 shift rail) cleaned the damn thing out. Looks like a piece of trash got in there and just tore it all to hell. I broke off 3 F!@#ing teeth and my diff is fine!!! WTF?!!?!??! SO anyway, then I went through all this shit buying one off the classifieds from this dude and he screwed me over and never sent it, and Im still waiting for my money. Now Im trying to refinance my damn loan to get TRE to do it right and the bank is giving me hell (screwed me over - Im not on the current loan and have to take a higher interest rate now on the refinance!)


WHY MEEE!?!?!?!?!?!?

All I want is my baby back!! (But hey, at least Im getting my 3" turbo-back done while Im waiting)
