I recently installed my MBC. I set it up (In 3rd gear) at 15.5 Psi of boost. Everything seems to be ok, when I put on the gas on 3rd or 4th gear the car reaches the 15.5 Psis really quick an it holds them very good. The problem is that when accelerating from 1st gear (at 0 M/hr), the car begin spnnin tires and boost never reach the 15 PSi, as a matter of fact it only gains 12PSi. Obviously, at the end of the track (1/4mile) the car finishes with only 11-12.5 PSi because of the spnnin tires after the green light. :barf: :barf:

I am running with 93 octane fuel + octane booster (Toluene) with my current mods: hacked mass, K&N AIr filter, NGK plugs and 8.0mm, removed cat, suppertrapp exahust, unorthodox crank pulley, MBC, boost and air/fuel ratio gauges.

Any idea of my problem, or everything of this is normal???

Thanks in advance!

So you're saying if you start in first, none of the other gears will spool past 12psi either? If you mean that you can only get 12psi in 1st gear, then that's pretty normal. There's usually not enough time to fully spool up the turbo in 1st gear.

That's what I mean... exactly!!!...

"...If you mean that you can only get 12psi in 1st gear, then that's pretty normal. There's usually not enough time to fully spool up the turbo in 1st gear...." That's NOT what I'am saying or trying to explain... If i start in first the only way to reach over 12 PSi is: either accelerating slowly (not at WOT), or accelerating all the way down on the gas in third or fourth gear (In this case, the car is able to gain and mantain 15.5PSi without getting a leaner)...

What is happening with my boost when tires begin spnnin???

Hope someone can help me! ;)

when your tires start to spin, the is a decrease in load on the engine, decreased load means decreased exhaust gas=less boost.

So that is normal?? and what should i must do???? Or leave it in that way????

Thanks!!
