why are my 1/8th mile runs different?

In Irwindale speed way I ran like a 8.019 1/8 mile time at 21psi and at Pomona speed way I could not get my 1/8 mile time be get any lower then 8.9. the only thing that i could think of was the track being like crap because i was spinning all four tires. because the weather conditions were the same as cold maybe Little bit colder at Pomona the only difference i could see is that at Pomona it was day time while at irwindale it was night time.
Now I was thinking if i could of gotten a 8.019 at the 1/8 of a mile in Pomona do you guys think that i would of gotten into the high 12s because with 8.9 sec at the 1/8 i got a 13.5s at the 1/4 mile. and that was missing 3rd gear in the first try.

well track conditions, tire qualtiy/pressure, some unforseen thing in the engine, the weather messing with the engine is some voodoo manor, the driver ...there are a lot of things

Weather,altitude,outside temp, track temp, time of day, airdensity, humidity, all these things can affect your runs, variation in driving clutch temp engine temp there and so many things that can make you run slower, i have to constantly log and tune my car for the weather.

Ps what were the 60' and 1/8th MPH's for both runs?

on irwindale it was 60=2.004
mph=81.34

in pomona 60=2.035
mph=80.79

I'm gonna have to say your 8.0 run was a timing error because the MPH on my 8.0 was 90.
