Stock GSt running 8 secs in 1/8th mile/???

Was at the track last night, and a few guys were talking to me about DSMs and they own a shop down here in knoxville, tn. They told me if i ran 13 lbs of boost in my stock gst. I would be running high to mid 8 secs in an 1/8. Is this dangerous? My only mods, BOV-Intake

Do you have a boost gauge? You need one obviously. Get a boost controller (MBC or EBC) and up the boost. Stay at or under 15 psi and you should be good (our stock fuel system can cut it over 15 psi). Most people put on an exhaust before upping the boost but its not a requirement.

Ask them what they think stock boost is on your car....
Because stock is anywhere from 11-14lbs already.

If your running a diff bov then you already got rid of your biggest restriction. Next thing you need to get rid of would be your Upper IC pipe. Then go ahead and get exhaust but honestly read the performance pages we have here in the Tuning Guide section and that will explain to you more than they probably can because this has been basically tried and tried again by members since the birth of this site.
