I am so tired of ordering CAS for my 90 Talon and getting the wrong style of connector for my car  . Is there a way to splice these wires to make my own CAS without damaging my car or the CAS??Has anyone ever ran into this problem before besides me? The connector I have is the one with the male style connector. The ones I keep getting are the female style with the purple box around the connector end. I'm gonna :barf: if i cant get this thing fixed.

The 90 cas is the one that has the wire attached to it (built in). The 91-92 is the green one with the plug on top and the 93-94 is the black one with the same style plug.
So there should be only one type of cas with the long wire on it and connector at the end and that's what you need. You can find them at the junkyard easily since they are also on the n/t 4g63 cars.

I see 2 different connectors in that pic, that's weird. Hopefully somebody else can shed some light on this. You have 2 in that picture. One of them has to plug up to your car. Right?

Yes. The one on the left is the original CAS. The plug that is on the other CAS with the purple box around it are the ones i keep buying, and they are supposed to be off a 90 model. They are both long connection style as well. The connection on the car for the CAS to plug into, is the same connector as the purple box style as seen in the pic, so i am stuck with the same connector on each side???I will have to check out some junk yards and see what i can come up with, but so far I have 3 of these sensor i cant use that are supposed to be good.

So you are saying the ones you buy keep coming with the same connector on the cas as on the car so you can't plug them in? That's weird.

You can just just look at the old one and draw a wiring diagram and then solder the right connector on the new cas.

i know this is an old thread, but those style are for the hyundai 1.8 motors. i swapped one in one of my 1gs- just spliced the old connector on and it worked perfect
