Who's running a turboXS boost controller?

This came with the car when I bought it. It is the bleeder type, no spring/ball setup. I can easily blow through when the top is tightened all the way down. I'm unable to change my boost settings with the boost controller. I don't understand how it can change the boost if I can blow through it easily. Does this sound right, or possibly something wrong with the boost controller?

Yea I don't know much, but I don't see how if I can blow through it, it's going to up the boost at all.

I ran the turbo xs one on my Ford probe for awhile. It never worked correctly. The thing would spike not hold boost yada yada yada. I built myself one for about 15 bux. It's a ball and spring type and works flawlessly. Just another option for you to keep in mind. Very easy and affordable to make ;)

+1

Ball and Spring works great. The guy on the NXS website that I gave you, gives a 10 dollar discount to all DSM Owners also, so basically your paying 10 bucks for a proven MBC.

Its also free first class shipping, you get it in like 3 days. What a deal right?

IMO get rid of the Turbo XS. Not worth it.

Yea it's gone, and I have a ball/spring on the way. It seems that all TurboXS are like this.

Well I can easily blow through mine with it all the way shut, so I'm assuming it's not working correctly.

Back from the dead.
I have one. You turn them counter clockwise to add boost. But, the top is coming off mine. Not sure if I can go up anymore. It's holding well at 13 psi. I'm upgrading because it's not enough boost for my mods. I heard Halman's are the way to go!

Turbo xs boost controllers are great for the top port of an external wastegate. I run one on the top port and an ebc on the bottom. Increased base spring pressure from 15 to 27 without a different spring. Then you can fine tune with the ebc.
