Whats everyone running for a boost controller?

Hey guys, my boost controller no matter how i adjust it is sitting right around ~15psi until around 4500-5000 then creeps to 20. If i unplug the wastegate the boost has no problem climbing to whatever I want, so it must be my old MBC. I'm thinking of just going with something new, ive taken it apart multiple times, still no luck, its just the ball and spring type. So ill just buy a new one! whats everyone running? what psi? Im hoping for around 25 give or take for my pump gas limits. Has anyone harnessed the factory BCS through link with good control? that's also an option!

22 psi on a 8 dollar ball type ebay special. On the car for 10 years now with no issues.

The best.. and worst part about it is it has a locknut on it. so your gonna burn the ever living hell out of yourself if you try to adjust boost settings right after driving.. the BEST part of that is that if someone tries to turn your boost up when you have the hood popped at a car show, THEY'RE gonna burn their hands.

And yes.. that actually happens at local meets where I live,it is also the reason I don't have a hallman on mine.

Stock BCS and ECMLink. Works great, easy to control the boost, and it's free if you have link.

I used a $20 ebay MBC for MANY years and it worked perfectly, Never saw a need to spend so much on a very simple device. I now use a electronic solenoid controlled by ECMlink.

Ive had no problems woth my hallman. If your worried about people touching it just hide it by your rad support... Or locking hood pins

I have an in cabin HKS electronic boost controller I got it with the car tho as I probably wouldn't spend so much on a boost controller myself. Works great and and I can control boost without burning my hands.

I used GST with PSI's thread and it worked great. I didn't bother with error correction, only duty cycle. No more boost spikes, and I can contol boost to keep traction... but don't. It's more fun that way

$20 brass MBC. Holds 42psi just fine on a 35psi spring.

For manual I have an NXS MBC. Reminds me of my old Joe P. Works great. I also do have ECMlink/IR solenoid setup that I use sometimes.

what's that? I just run off WG pressure and creep from that to 18... I need to fix that huh.

Eventually i'll upgrade from DSMLink to ECMLink...anyone got a 1G BCS? No idea what happened to mine, but I haven't seen it in about 8 years.

Yup, after talking to GST with PSI, I went out and sure enough mine is unplugged from my car and MISSING. So I'm pretty unhappy about that.

I've been using ecmlink for years and love it. I also have used a homedepot racing mbc . And you guys know ecmtuning, ecmlink and dsmlink are all the same thing

Running a hallman pro with in-cab knob in place of my a/c switch. So far it's seen 20psi once and sits at 18psi right now. Very solid piece and well constructed, great directions too. I'll be using that on my next set of upgrades till I decide to try an ebc for boost-by-gear.

If it was available when I swapped boost controllers years & years ago, I'd probably be running Link with a solenoid. I never was a fan of the different manual boost controllers I tried, always got large boost spikes, which I was never a fan of. Swapped to an Apexi AVC-R & haven't looked back. Their expensive, but you end up with a lot of control on how exactly your boost is controlled & have two separate "maps". Probably ran it for at least 8 years, thought of simplifying with Link but I haven't made the swap as I'm not sure I'd be happy with losing a couple of the settings/options.
