alright. ive got a race coming up in a month. what can i do to prepare?my buddy is running a 2002 civic with exhaust and intake. he wants to race for money. is somewhere in the 2600lb 100-110 WHP range. should i be able to take him or do i back out and wait till i get more upgrades...?:talon:

First off, we do not promote street racing :shhh:

But since you asked, you shouldn't have a problem. Just watch for the super lonnnnnngggggg gears of the hondas. If you are running all stock should make for a decent race. I wouldnt back out though, how much $$ you guys talking about here?

I can see this thread getting deleted quickly. There is no bench racing on this site.

And second of all its a piece of shit 02 civic. Probably the slowest gen of civics ever. If your car runs stock boost and runs well you'll destroy him. Losing to a D16 would make me cry.

Quit being a little girl and talking about it on the internet. Go to a drag strip and see what your car runs. Then get to work on continuously improving that time.

Honda guys swap their motors so often its rediculous. Who knows if he has something else under there, my buddies 00 civic kept up ...wait nvm that was when I was n/t 2.4l ROFL. Either way stock mitsu. claims 210hp which should be anywhere from 150-180 whp. Didnt do the math because I honestly wouldnt waste my time. He should be able to win easily, just dont miss a gear or something stupid like that...

Drag strips are the place to do it, but nothing IMO beats going down a public road roasting the other guy, ESP if its a honda haha.

The OP never said anything about street racing. Why do you ass-u-me that he is not running at a track? Just because he is racing a Honda?
