Who would be interested in getting a crank nitrided?

I have found a company that will nitride cranks but they will only do it in batches as I have to rent the entire assembly. Right now I'm only looking to see if there would be enough people interested in doing this as I would need at least 5 people at $125 each plus shipping. If I can get 10 people then it would be $100 each plus shipping.

As I said, right now this is just seeing how many would be interested and then maybe later I will make it a regular service if there is enough interest.

If this is a forum violation or in the wrong forum then I apologize but I have sent a request on the contact page and never got a response.

Thankx, David.

Good point but I know that if you have a crank turned it could possibly need to be re-treated. Most of the stroker cranks would benefit also. What I'm wondering about is having the cams nitrided.

What would be the point of nitriding the cams? Im actually wondering. But they are pretty low stress compared to the crank. And how often do they wear out? Cams seem like they would be the last rotating part in the engine to fail.

Plus, if the crank is nitrided, and it would help the cams, I would bet they are already treated as well.

Having the cam nitrided would only apply to people that are running the very high pressure valve springs for very high duration/lift cams or very high rpm cams.
