im having a problem. after my bov vents and you get the hissing sound i get a clear whistle noise that sounds like it coming from the bov. so after the bov vents and remaining pressure will vent really slowly like a long whistle. it also does it when im cruising around at slightly slower speeds. its jus one continous long whistle. is the a bad bov? or a boost leak from somewhere else? because it def seems like it coming from the bov. i have a type s bov. would it help if i went to a type rs?

I'm assuming when you say "vent" you don't mean you actually vented your bov to the atmosphere which would be a bad idea without speed density or a gm maf and translator. Either way, do a boost leak test and see if it's leaking. Just check everywhere while you're at it because if you haven't ever done one, you'll probably find a few leaks.

Your getting a reed like effect from air sucking past a tiny opening. Pretty common. As stated above if your still using the factory MAF setup don't "vent". Sounds like the valve is leaking.

You can DG-mod a TypeS?

;)

Edit: I knew I should have quoted forcefed. ;) This post is now useless.
