I have searched but can't find what I am looking for. I need a wideband and if I can afford it an egt gauge. While looking i saw that PLX as an R-500 that is both and can even log other inputs as well. The average price for the EGT and wideband is about $630-00 is that to much??? Anyone have any experience with it bc I cannot find any info on tuners about them, or should I just buy the two separate gauges? I do have the e-manage and E-01 as well and would like to hook up the output from the wideband to the E-01.

A lot of guys seem to like the FJO units. They are a little bit pricey but use the NTK sensors over the Bosch. Also innovate has a new wideband that uses a gauge instead of the big box that the LM-1 uses.

The Bosch sensor will last you about a year if you're lucky. I went with one because it has a lifetime warranty, but it's a pain in the ass having to change it out every few months.

I went with the Innovate WB and an Autometer EGT. I paid about $360 for the Innovate setup with dash mounted gauge (view profile pics) and about $100 for the Autometer EGT (also shown in my pics). Love 'em both.

Am I reading this right? With the Zt-2 you can get the software for free and just by the O2 sensor, cable connecting the O2 sensor to a laptop and a bung to connect it and thats it?
If that is the case then how do you tell where you are in the RPM range so you can tune?

The ZT2 setup has 4 seperate components.

The actual sensor, which you can pick up at VW dealers I believe for pretty cheap.

The controller box. This interprets everything and sends it to the computer. You can plug your EGT, boost, wideband, and all the other assorted wires (TPS, sim narrowband, power, ground, RPM, etc)

The cable that connects this box to your computer

And the software that allows you to log all of this data.

You can add the 3.5 bar boost sensor to this as well as the EGT probe they offer. I found it to be the best value, especially because the sensor doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I don't have to worry about running a tank of leaded race gas destroying my 150$ o2 sensor. I can also afford to carry a spare with me, because they are 1/5 the price.
