ok ive been getting my car slowly back to where it should be. the valve cover started leaking a little oil around the gasket and i wanted to paint the VC blue to match everything on the engine now. i went to oreilly and they said the gasket was different for the 90-92 and the 93-94. my car is a talon tsi from 93. but when i changed the oil filter i had to use the oil filter that fit the 90-92
. the engine has numbers on the timing belt cover saying it was compression tested so im guessing it was put in after the car was bought. i didnt wan to get everything ripped apart to find out i had the wrong gasket and have to wait longer. the pictures of the gaskets look the same but im not chancing it this time. any help is appreciated thanks.
P.S. on a side note what made the 90-92 differ from the 93-94?
Thanks again,
Mat
