I have been looking at all the sponsors on this website and checking out their FMICs. I am not exactly sure which to pick. If possible, could some of you post your experiences with your FMIC and which are strong, reliable and how much power they can handle. I am looking to stay on a budget around $800 for the FMIC and the pipes. What FMIC brands should i go with?

when i am installing the FMIC is there alot of cutting and fitting for the FMIC to fit properly? If so how much and what kind of cutting is needed? What are some other brands that fit into the 2g with minimal cutting required?

i debating between slowboy's fmic and agpturbo's fmic. but what turbo do you plan on running later on in the future when you upgrade(ex. 16g, 20g, v-trim, 50 trim)?? so we can lead you more in a better direction@!!

This is agood point! you shoudl know that before deciding. I can give any install info needed on our FMIC just shoot me an email [email protected]

Slowboy guy to the rescue!! LOL

Check out this site.

Years worth of reviews on all the different intercooler set ups out there.
Your best bet is to skip the IC right now. Follow the upgrade path closely and when it comes time for an IC, you'll know a little more on what you need to buy to get you where you want to be.

Slowboy makes quality products. Their customer service is top notch. The place is run by people who have first hand experience with the cars they deal with. They are a great resource for modifications.

i am probably going to go along the lines of the 14b 16g ect ect.. i just have boost leaks and instead of replacing my SMIC piping i wanted to upgrade to a FMIC to set a nice foundation to my project. any suggestions to which FMIC will support that line well? Or Slowboy all the way? LOL

I'd go slowboy. That way you know you have something that'll last the test of tune.

If your car is stock and you want a strong foundation I wouldn't recomend a FMIC. I would start with a Boost Gauge first, then the following

free mods...
intake...
exhaust...
mbc...

I know that a FMIC looks cool and everyone wants one, but it really won't do anything for your T25. Those $800 will go a long way for other mods first.

by biggest reason for wanting a FMIC is because i wanted to eliminate boost leaks. instead of purchasing IC piping for my SMIC i was going to spend the difference to just buy a FMIC w/ new piping. i guess i can do my best to fix all of my boost leaks and upgrade to the FMIC once i get a stronger turbo.

I would go with slowboy racing also i have never had anything bad happen with them. Or you could go with the greddy 24 row fmic.
