i am looking to purchase HID for my 99 spyder. I am wondering which company i should go with for the best price and how is ebay and the companies on there?

I'm assuming you'll be putting these in your stock headlight housings.

I would check out SharpHID. They are a vendor on here and other people have had good luck with them.

I would reconsider getting the 8000K bulbs though. You might want to check your local laws or ask someone if they'd be legal or not. They will definitely be blue (which is probably the reason you want them) but they won't have the optimal light output that will aid you in seeing the best.

i dont care about the blueeeeeeeeeee color!!!!!!! Im not a ricer....I want HIDs so i can see whats infront of me...

Just got my 8000k 35w HID's for the daily driver from SharpHID and I love them. Shipped well, and installed painlessly. Had to do some custom wiring due to my particular setup and I had them installed in under an hour.

Had the 8000k hids as well from SharpHID and I loved them. Then the car broke down and ended up selling them to a friend. In the near future I will be buying some again.

By the way does anybody know where I can get a set of APC Gen 2 head lights? I read that they use dual projectors with the stock bulb size. Is this correct and where can I get some? Been searching all over the net, but cant find them for a good price.

Does anyone have the 55w bulbs? I'm curious to know the difference in light output compared to 35w bulbs. $50 isn't really that much... if there is a noticable difference in light output.

Also, I know that a TSX retrofit is the suggested way of installing these, but my current projectors have a very sharp cutoff and if aimed correctly shouldn't affect passer by's. Is this correct in assuming?

You should be fine. My projectors have a very good cutoff pattern, but since they're only an h3 foglight housing my lighting is kind of short and wide as opposed to being as good as it would with the TSX retrofit. Luckily for me though my Expedition sits pretty high up so I still get great lighting while the housings scatter light far enough sideways that I'm lighting up the oncoming lanes on 4 lane roads.
