I found a really good deal on an Evo O2 housing and now I need a dp to mate up to it. Is the RRE dp the only one that fits this housing perfectly? I was looking into this dp but it's a bit pricey in my opinion :notgood: . Thanks

I just went through this dilema... and since the options I had were not 100% "plug and play" and required some "hacking"... I ended up going with a custom one (3" down). Luckily for me the guy that sold me the Evo Housing also gave me the Flange to weld on to the Downpipe (which was actually made out of a 90 degree 3" mandrel bend.

Odd. I wasn't too smart when I bought my Evo O2 housing, and I just bolted it up to my Apex'i N1 downpipe. Only problem I had was it rubbing the transfer case, but I just welded a brace on the opposite side and pulled it away from it.

How about If i buy a megan racing dp from ebay and buy an Evo III dp flange from RRE and have an exhaust shop cut the megan dp flange and weld the Evo III dp flange? Also, if the dp needs to be bent a bit then the exhaust shop does have a machine that does mandrel bends which could slightly bend the dp. What do you guys think :rocks: ?

That would be your best bet.

so RNR turboback will fit on evo iii o2 housing with no problem right??

If you look at the picture here of the 3" RNR O2 Eliminating Downpipe, you'll notice that you no longer need an O2 Housing. In fact this DP dumps to the atmosphere.
This DP does not eliminate your front O2 Sensor, just the housing.

Don't buy an EVO O2 Housing, just port your existing O2 Housing.
My spare O2 Housing was sent out to get ported, along with the turbine housing, and the Ex Man.
I have a Megan Racing DP for my GST, and it's really a nice piece of work.
The Megan pipe for a GST has a 2.5" first bend to the flex section, then after the flex it is 3" back to where it eliminates the Cat, and necks down only to about 2.75".
But, if you want to buy the EVO piece, then I suppose an exhaust shop could remove the beautiful TIG weld around the flange, cut the angle into the pipe, and then put a non-TIG weld back on the flange, but if your shop has a Mandrel Bender $$$, then they just might be set-up to TIG weld your downpipe back together. You have to TIG stainless, you can't MIG weld it, or it will rust....

I already bought the O2 housing, I found a really good deal on it and its supposed to be 20% larger than a ported stock housing.
