Which clutch [Merged 3-9] what clutch best

ok i am going to get a new clutch for my car. i was wandering which one i should go with. i was thinking of the act 2100. Dont think i want the 2600 because it is a daily driven car and will only go to the track a couple times a year. if there are some other brands you all would suggest let me know. i want a good streetable clutch for a cheap budget.

instead of the ACT 2600, look at the CM 2500 which is about the same but isn't supposed to crank walk www.extrememotorsports.com is the place to get it

Alright, my clutch went completely out. I'm not sure which brand to purchase next. I was thinking an ACT 2600, but not sure tho. I need some idea's on what kind to buy. I'm not going back to stock cuz this winter I will be modding it some more. Please help.

1gs the Act 2600 is perfect for you guys but a risk for us 2gs so i recomend the 2600 for you

I doubt you really need the 2600 for your FWD NT. The 2100, if it's available for the NT, should MORE THAN suffice, and in fact would probably still be overkill.

Not all RS's are Turbos. My Laser RS is NT.

I apologize for assuming without reading your profile, where you mention a FMIC and boost gauge.

However, I do still reccomend the 2100, unless you plan to run really quick ET's with slicks on the front.

what year is your laser? cuz i forgot what year it was but after it the turbo laser were called RS-T's. but the first ones were RS's.

well in that case...I personally think that FWD cars should go with the 2100 and AWD should go with the 2600. I have a 2100 in now and its great. The AWD have that extra stress from launching that I would recommend the 2600. I just think most people are not going to put over 350hp on a FWD DSM. So my opinion would be to get the ACT 2100.

we're getting a little bit off subject here. But would you reccomend ACT? I heard that the only problem with then is they engage right off the floor.

You will notice a difference, but I am used to it now. The stock clutch feels wierd to me now.

I live right by Extreme Motorsports so I picked one up from there for $350 and had my buddies shop install it. The 2600 is a extra $50

My Laser RS, is a 91 2.0L/NT/AT. It's my "beater" car.

My 90 Laser is an RS and it's turboed, so my friends 90 also.

ACT 2600 for AWD
