Hey guys, my gf has a 99 gsx with the following mods

full 3" exhaust, no cat
1g bov set at 15psi on the t25
cai

she is starting to slip on her stock clutch and it needs to be replaced.
when we get her tax return we are going to do the following to the car

uego wideband
new, stronger clutch
ecuflash with openport 2.0
evo3 16g
wally 190
680's

My gf really wants to keep the nearly stock peddle pressure that the act 2100 has to offer, but if we end up keeping the boost on the 16g at 17-21psi would the 2100 still have enough clamping force to hold all that power and not slip?

Otherwise, we are looking at the 2600, but the pedal pressure will be a lot different and this is her daily driver.

thanks guys!

You'll start to slip on the 2100 over 350hp, You should be fine without having to go 2600 and have arnold size calves.

You say you plan on upgrading to a 16g. Do you plan on upgrading to anything bigger than that eventually? If it were me, I upgrade to the 2600. That way, you would avoid purchasing a 2100, upgrading further down the road, and then having to purchase a 2600.

Go with the 2600 pressure plate and a street disc. If you want a daily driver feel, the street disc will have better street manners then the puck style discs that ACT offers. As for the throw out bearing, I always go with the OEM mitsu TOB. ACT for some reason makes theirs in plastic. I have ruined two ACT throw out bearings, but never ruined an OEM metal one.

There are always other brands available as well. Fidanza offers a nice assortment of clutches, using a pressure plate that is equivalent to an ACT2300 so pedal pressure is great and they focus on clutch disk material for friction application.
