Hello,

currently i am putting down 310 whp on my GS-T with a 2100 ACT /w Street Clutch. The clutch is slipping a little bit in 2nd and 3rd gear.

In the next 2 weeks I am going to do the AWD Swap and now i am worried that the clutch won't last long with the AWD Drivetrain. Also I want to push the 68HTA to its limits in the near future as soon as the engine gets forged internals.

Any recommendations with which cluth would do the job best?

Please note that the car is driven every weekend so it should be as much streetable as possible...
 
Uhmm... that is not the answer i hoped for.

First i was looking into buying an Act 2600 with a sprung 6 Puck Disk but then i heard that the springs break out of the disk very often and may destroy the bellhousing.

It took me 2 years to find a GSX for my swap here in Europe. So i dont want to risk a damaged bell housing... :pray:

Would an ACT 2600 with an unsprung 6 Puck Disk good for a nearly daily driven car?
 
Ive always heard good things about the 2600 act. I am looking into the same one so hopefully somebody with the act 2600 will chime in and give there .02.
 
A South Bend Clutch custom SS-Series pressure plate with Kevlar/Ceramic dual friction disk would easily handle your needs, as well as be fully streetable and gentle on your transmission and your clutch hydraulics.

It is a 2200# pressure plate with the custom disk.

This specific clutch disk will last substantially longer than any ACT street disk, or the normal South Bend Clutch OFE clutch disk, as well as it will be more forgiving on your flywheel than the Feramic friction surface associated with the OFE clutch disk.

The clutch requires a longer break-in than a standard organic street disk due to the Kevlar material, but there are ways around that which I am experienced with and can easily put together a custom clutch for your setup.
