Which BOV? [Merged 3-8] what bov best bov

I am looking at replacing my BOV. I was looking at the Greddy XS, but I seem to be seeing people with Greddy problems aplenty. What BOV do you like? Why?

Also, what is a safe PSI for a stock turbo? I hear rumors that anything beyond 14 will raise hell on the engine.

If it was something along the lines of "Hey, I need to know what would be a decent blow off valve for running around 20 psi on a 16G", I'd have no problem, but he might as well ask "A/S/L? POST YOUR AGE!".

Hell, that might as well be MORE useful considering those things aren't in your profile. Blowoff valves, Turbo's, (both of which he polled), are already listed everywhere. Let's clean up the act, eh?

Rockin the stock 3KGT that came with my kit for now. Upgrading to a RFL as soon as the new shortblock goes in and I can up the boost over 10PSI

I'll probably sell it and get a Tial or an HK$ SuperSequential.

You know, this IS in the HANGOUT forum, hence the poll of what BOV people are running....now if this were like in the 2.0 Turbo Performance Forum, I could see where you are coming from, but geez dude.....its just a way for us to talk about who has what and see percentages and stuff like that......big deal! Personally, I have the HKS, but am switching to the Greddy because i have the RRE UICP and i just want it to bold on....

yup... iether BPR7ES... or some of us REALLY fast guys use the BPR6ES...

that is why there is no reasone to make a thread about that...

I want to get rid of my stock BOV for obvious reasons. I dont know which aftermarket one to buy. I dont really care about price, but I'd like to know everyone's opinion. I was thinking about getting the Greddy Type S, and venting it back into the intake. Has anyone done that before. I'm not sure if its possible or not. I'm open for any suggestions and any info will help guys. Thanks.

Yes you can vent the Type-S OR recirc it using the stock hose.

The greddy s is nice, the hks is even better, but if you are looking for loud, the hks wont do it for you if its recir. back the intake.
