Woodbury,
I am looking at replacing my BOV. I was looking at the Greddy XS, but I seem to be seeing people with Greddy problems aplenty. What BOV do you like? Why?

Also, what is a safe PSI for a stock turbo? I hear rumors that anything beyond 14 will raise hell on the engine.

Thanks for your help!

Hey ProjectGSX, is the RFL flange the same for the Greddy Type-S because your picture looks like my Dejon UICP??? I was just wondering because I was checking Dejon and I saw this:

The TurboXS BOV's are modular in design. They are not really designed to have their own flange, but bolt onto flanges shaped like many of the popular BOV's on the market. The RFL in the picture I provided uses a 1G style flange, bolted to a Buschur UIC pipe flanged for a 1G BOV.

TurboXS also sells HKS and GReddy style flanges. The picture you showed is a Dejon tool pipe that has a TurboXS weld-on adapter welded do it. The weld-on adapters come free with the TurboXS valves.

Hope that answered your question.

The TurboXS prices for the HPBC that are on their web site are pretty typical-- around $129. That's about twice as much (or more) than the Joe P or Hallman, though. I'm getting a deal on it, though, so I'm still gonna go with it. The regular TurboXS MBC is about $79, I think.

I have to agree with ndgsx. I also have the hks ssqv and have had no problems with it. As ndgsx was saying the main thing thats different about the hks than most other brands is that it's a pull instead of a push type of bov (if that makes sense) Instead of being pushed open during boost it's always sucking which makes it less likely to shutter open and things like that and for $225 its not a bad investment

I got a 91 Mitsubishi 3000GT vr-4 that I just bought. It has a K&N air filter. That's all I know it has besides exhaust. I bought it for $7000 with only 69,000 miles on it. I just want to know what BOV would be the easiest way or cheapest way to put on.

Your stock BOV is pretty good, but if you want to upgrade you can go with Greddy, Apexi, HKS, Blitz... anything that you can get with an install kit for your car. Check out www.3SI.org for more info on upgrades for your car, and people who have more technical knowledge of your car.

I am just curious... everyone asks what BOV to get... I am just curious what we are all running... (TurboXS H-34 bypass here)

DAMN it... I wrote it down too... I guess I am just an idiot.. and it was 4am when I did this... that is why I have Blitz twice... one of them is Tial... can a mod fix that for me PPLEASE?!?!?

I asked a MOD to fix that... the 2 "other" votes are for TIAL BOV's and I muffed up and typed Blitz twice... if the mods could fix that... I would be gratefull

HKS SSQ Represent.

I also fixed the poll so instead of 2 blitz's I changed one to the Tial.
