Which BOV? [Merged 3-8] what bov best bov

I am looking at replacing my BOV. I was looking at the Greddy XS, but I seem to be seeing people with Greddy problems aplenty. What BOV do you like? Why?

Also, what is a safe PSI for a stock turbo? I hear rumors that anything beyond 14 will raise hell on the engine.

Injen intake and cone filter help increase the sound but in any case anyone else have loud recir BOV's??

i had just an intake filter and it made my stock 2g bov pretty dam loud as it was, it would make people 100 feet away yell "nawss" when i barely let it off(yeah retard honduh kids in my town).then i got the type-s and it was a little better, had more of a whip like, crisp sound. then for shits and giggles i vented it one night to keep up with my freinds RFL bov and i love it. i drove by the mall and made a big group of chicks jump 2 feet in the air.

im running the tial and this bov is alsome, holds boost great. and for you people who love the sound of a bov this is by far the best sounding bov out there.

the hks ssqv is the greatest blow off ever, i have the greddy type s piece of shit, i run 18 pounds and its loud but the hks is the rawest sound i ever heard, ne one selling 1??

I run a Modded 1G bov. It holds as much boost as I could ever need, its intended to be a recirculated bov, it looks sleeperish.

Absolutley PERFECT.

Ohh and did I mention, after purchasing it for $15 bux at my local junk yard....I had $150 more dollars to spend on other GO-FAST goodies?

Thats gotta be the BESTEST part.

personally, i wouldn't go with either, although both are never going to leak boost, tials (one of the best) cannot be recirculated, and HKS recirculation kit costs around $40. Also tials are mostly for race apps. seeing high psi. imo, i would just go with a greddy type-s, turboxs H34, or a 1g cbv or something along those lines....hope this helps

i had the same questions when i couldnt decide which bov to get.. i went with the greddy type-s and havent regreted anything.. id go that route or go with the hks since you can recirculate it

Do you want respect....or do you want to ~sound~ cool? What BOV you have does NOT matter when you dust a Corvette.

Most DSMers that buy Greddy Type-S, TurboXS RFL, HKS, and Tial BOV's do it because it compliments their existing system. Not because it makes the cool loud noise. Well it used to be that way....I guess that statement isn't true anymore, with all the Brian Earl Spilner's running around these days.

I'm sick of answering Newbie threads about this subject.
