Hello friends.

First of all i have to say, im from germany.
So english is not my native language. Sometimes, reading Tech. Article is not easy for me, this is why i write this post.
please be kind with me.

I run Electrical Power steering, a Walbro 450, 2 Spal fans and so on.
my Car keeps Killing the Voltage Regulator of my Alternator.

Now i read that the saturn alternator could solve my problem.
But i dont know which way to go.

-Should i buy this one -> https://www.motorcityreman.com/miec1wireal.html

-or should i buy this one https://www.motorcityreman.com/91scse1.html
and do i need the SE Voltage Regulator ? https://www.motorcityreman.com/sevoreformie.html

-Will the "not charging" light in the dashboard still flash with the "Single Wire" Alternator ?

What is the best way to go?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but shipping and taxes alone will be more than 150$ alone. this is why i have to ask bevore placing an order.

Have a nice day guys.

Are you shielding the alternator from heat as much as you can? Exhaust shields, wrap, relocation, anything?
A saturn alternator was good on my 1G and 1-wire is not necessary if you do the rest of the wiring but by no means is it invincible to heat.

You don't have a vehicle profile. What generation are we even talking about?

I run the cs-130 3-wire 200a alternator from MCR on my 93 talon and that's the best way to go in my experience. I have run the 1-wire and 3-wire and the 1-wire had trouble adjusting to fans turning on etc. The lights would flicker when the fans turned on. The 1-wire is only for convenience as you just have to connect 1 wire. The voltage regulator is only for the 1-wire option I believe.

I drive an 2g D30, GSX swapped with Morrison Fab Manifold and Twinscroll EFR 7163, this is why i had to go the Electrical Power Steering way, there was no space.

The alternator is already on the back with the Relocation Kit. But it keeps dying all the time.
If i change the Alternator, the "not loading" light in the dash goes away for like 1000-5000 miles, until the Alternator fails again.

@Vegas Smith : Is this the alternator you use? https://www.motorcityreman.com/csstalwiexad.html
i think this is a good idea, the external voltage regulator sounds nice.
Do you know if this alternator fits in a 2g too ?

I don't know if the 1g and 2g use the same alternator. I THINK they do. Also, it ahs been a few years since I thought about the voltage regulator. I can't remember if mine does or doesn't, and I would hate to give you wrong information.

I run the https://www.motorcityreman.com/miec1wireal.html and really like it. You do lose the battery light on the dash, but so far I have never had a problem. It always produces 13.4-.6 volts, no matter the RPM or the load.

Hey Guys, i placed an Order on this:)
Thank you for your Help.

Do you just installed the Battery Terminal wire to the Alternator? The Description Said, that you don’t Need another wire.

What should i do with the Plug on the Top of the Alternator?

No Need to use?

If you ordered the 1-wire option then yes you would just connect the battery terminal wire to alternator. If you bought an upgraded alternator then you may need a larger power wire so please check that. Your original alternator plug wont fit or be needed anymore.
