1G Where to get injector clip retainers?

All four of the metal retainers are missing from the injector clips. Where to get them? If junk yard, which other cars to look for? Or is it worth updating to newer quick connect style?

I made my own, with some wire. You can even use a paper clip, with a little patience and couple pair of pliers you can make identical ones pretty easy, it's just a U shaped clip

I have made my own just like Marchev has, then I finally got smart and wired these in:

No more goofing with the clips and having them flip to god knows where

x2 on modifying to those newer style. If you’ve got any salvage yards nearby they can be found on most Mitsubishi’s 96+

Local junkyards. There is quick release clips available from various vehicles. I pulled mines out from a wrecked galant.

I pulled the 2g style connectors out of a Sebring, or was it an avenger...Oh who cares they are the same car , also the Dodge caravan, Plymouth voyager, Chrysler town and country "96-"00 minivans all have a quick release connector that works with dsm injectors, a lot of Dodge Chrysler Plymouth and Jeep cars will have a quick connector that works with dsms.

This is a great upgrade, especially when you consider how many times you remove these clips, if not to add bigger injectors, then to clean them, or just crank the car over without fuel etc.

Just sort of starting. I did a new harness for my car from scratch, so I located a few things. I'm trying to put together a website with all the things, but with full time.school and trying to keep a single digit dsm.together there's not enough time.

Mine are missing too, but I think I'll just wire in the quick release ones since I got spares of those.

You won't regret it, I am sooo glad I did it. Not that they get messed with that much, but like I said, those clips seem to fly anywhere and I hated the little bastards.

I can't believe I never knew 2g's came with different connectors, mind you I've only had 1 2g 96+ car and thats how I found out about them. I hate the 1g and 95 injector connectors they suck, going to the wrecks and stealing all the ones I can find now. Gotta love dsmtuners
