Where does the oil pressure sending unit go?

The oil pressure gauge has never worked in my Talon since I've owned it. I finally got around to looking into it and don't see a sending unit. The oil light switch is there though. I have a replacement sending unit, but there's no fitting that seems the right size?

If it matters, it's a JDM engine.

Thanks. That housing doesn't look like my housing... and no fitting for the sender in that location on mine. Hmm...

what you can do to see if you get a pressure reading, is take off the plug you see on your picture by the oil filter with an allen wrench, make sure you have something to catch the oil that will come out of there, (shouldn't be too much).
take the plug to home depot or lowes or any other place that sells brass fittings, and look for a fitting that matches the plug's tread and size and find a way to convert it to the size off the Oil press. sensor.
Shouldnt be so hard, If the treads are NPT use some teflon tape.
I wouldn't know if you get a reading or not, but if you do it will be very worth your while.

One other word of advice when doing the installation. Make sure you carefully check the torque specs and follow them exactly. I misread the torque specs when working on the housing and cracked the darn thing. It was in in/lbs, not ft/lbs like I had the torque wrench set.

i know this is old, but i have a leak at my sending unit, what did you use to seal it for the threads? and how much torque for the sending unit itself? cant find it anywhere

mine didnt work for the longest time until i started messing with some wires down there and first start up it worked
