oil pressure sending unit relocation

just curious where you guys mount your sending unit when its relocated. i dont have as much room as a 1g or 2g, im running a swapped colt but just looking for ideas.

Do you have the little cubby in your center council?

not the gauge the sending unit, its best to relocate them due to engine vibration causing premature failure

Up by the power steering pump resevoir is where mine is at.

Cant help there. Im still using the factory location off the oil filter housing.

I had the same issue before, the metal solid engine mounts killed 3 sending units and finally I used -4 A/N fittings and a short -4 A/N line between the oil filter housing and the sending unit and hold the sending unit with zip-tie somewhere does not have much vibration then the issue was solved. Now I used an AEM oil pressure sensor on the oil filter housing and totally no issue for a couple of years.

The aem sensor can handle the vibration?

Since the AEM sensors are not VDO style. All sending units I was using before were VDO. I guess that is the reason why the AEM sensor works fine. So I think does not matter what manufacturer unless it is VDO style.
