where can i get a after market clutch

just get a basic clutch oem standard one you will never have the hp to need a stage 1 or 2. and yes exedy, spec, fidanza all do clutched by stage whether its right or not they do it. its just like act with 2100 2600 200 etc. try hear the sachs looks really good and a known brand 1992 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE Clutch Kit but if you really want one of those ebay ones do the gripforce

a shop will charge anywhere from 1000-2000 but it all depends where you go and what there hourly rates are. shops just tend to charge a little more for fwd cars.

sorry i didnt see that exedy up top that is a great choice if it fits your car. i have an exedy and love it

Get an ACT or a Fidanza clutch, best brands. and whatever you do, don't get anything more than a stage 1, any stage higher would be a complete waste of money on a 1.8

WTH is wrong with Centerforce? Hell i wouldnt use anything other than factory FWD-T on a 1.8., if i had to upgrade the clutch.

For a plain FWD clutch, the labor is usually around $400, even from the stealer. Its MUCH easier on a FWD and an NT at that, if you do it yourself.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can change a clutch. LOL

Carquest sells our shop valeo clutches all day long and we never have one come back for warranty. That should say SOMETHING about them. They seem like a quality built part. Mind you i've never tried to push them to extremes but cheap light duty clutch not bad for the money and they have a warranty if installed by a shop.

So it would be good to get a valeo one? I thought exedy was a good brand?:aha::hmm:
